Theories of Plate Tectonics
Plate Tectonics
In the 1960s, the theory of continental drift and seafloor spreading was developed. They theory of plate tectonics included, Earth's crust and part of the upper mantle are broken down into sections. Plates are made of the crust and a part of the upper mantle, these two parts when combined create the lithosphere.
