Mendel's rules and laws:
Law 1: Law of Segregation states that the alleles for a trait may separate when gametes are formed.
Law 2: The Law of Independent Assortment states that factors for different characteristics are distributed to reproductive cells independently.
Law 3: Law of Unit Characteristics states that characteristics such as height, color, etc. are inherited separately as units.
Law 4: Law of Dominance and Recessives states that one factor in a pair may mask the other factor preventing it from having effect.
